How it works Creative Commons Discuss Vote from your site Streams & Podcasts FAQ

Join  Garage Songs, a free social bookmarking site for unsigned music. We want to reduce the time and effort for bands to get their music and web links noticed on the web. Garage Songs' commenting, syndication and a democratic editorial system enables members to collaboratively submit and promote their music!
We bring a new meaning to the phrase "Rock the Vote!"

• Garage Songs encourages sharing playlists, podcasts and links to their bands home page so visitors can discover more about your band and listen to more songs your band has to offer. We allow bands and musicians to submit their mp3's, videos, player widgets and links from your bands home site, Soundclick pages, Reverbnation, Myspace, Jamendo, Youtube page or anywhere your band calls "home" on the web. Members and visitors can listen, vote and comment for the best songs submitted.

• Garage Songs also allows you to license your music through the Creative Commons system so you can easily choose a set of conditions you wish to apply to your music. Although no direct downloads for music posted at GarageSongs.com are available, it is still a good idea to utilize the CC license feature here. Click on an existing song post to see an example.

• You can always ask for help and advise or just chat about anything (well almost anything) in our Chat room.

Mark your submitted music with a Creative Commons license.

We have integrated the CreativeCommons.org licensing system to easily mark your work with a quick reference icon showing how you choose to let others share and any special permissions to remix and reuse your music. Creative Commons allows you to share your work and still declare what rights you want reserved. Watch to see what Creative Commons is all about.
